Our InDesign templates are packaged and saved as ZIP files. Basically all file versions as already checked, including CS4 idm, but I find nowhere to check the unsupported CS5 idm version. Usually all IDML files should open even with InDesign CS4.

InDesign CS4 6.0.4 includes the cumulative fixes from InDesign CS4 6.0.3 (posted June 2009), InDesign CS4 6.0.2 (posted May 2009) and InDesign CS4 6.0.1 (posted February 2009). So you could do a duplicate of the file, rename its suffix to zip and you can look inside the file when on Windows with e.g.
